It has been a difficult season for the Carolina Panthers all around.

Sunday was no different. David Tepper fell to a new low in the Panthers' 26-0 loss to the host Jacksonville Jaguars. After the game, a video began circulating online of Tepper appearing to empty a cup into the stands where fans were sitting and throwing it.

The incident occurred after Carolina rookie quarterback Bryce Young threw an interception toward the end of the fourth quarter, sealing the team’s shutout loss.

Here is the video:

With the loss, the Panthers dropped to 2-14 on the season. It's an embarrassing mark for a team known for underachieving in the Tepper era.

The loss assured the Panthers have the No. 1 pick. The only problem is Tepper traded the pick to Chicago to draft Young, who has underwhelmed in his rookie season.

Carolina declined to comment on the video once it began gaining traction online.

The Athletic reported that NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy said the league is "aware of the video and have no further comment at this time."

It is merely the latest embarrassing endeavor for Tepper. Earlier in the season, when the Panthers fired former head coach Frank Reich, Tepper held a press conference where he deflected blame and spoke in vast generalities.

Since Tepper took over the team, the Panthers haven't made the playoffs. Their .316 winning percentage (31-67) is the NFL’s second-worst over that span, just one game behind the New York Jets’ mark of .306 (30-68).

Regardless, another losing season and throwing a drink at a fan is proof enough — it is time for Tepper to sell the team.
