Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young's rookie season didn't go quite as planned.

Young, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, suffered through a coaching change along with poor offensive line play (Young was sacked 62 times) in what amounted to a trying rookie season.

The former Alabama standout completed 59.8 percent of his passes for 2,877 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 2023.

Despite the tough rookie season, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles still think the future is incredibly bright for Young.

In fact, Bowles thinks Young will be "one of the best to ever do it" when it's all said and done.

"Poise in the pocket, he can throw on a dime, he's very athletic, he can move in the pocket — not just to run but to throw as well," said Bowles (via ESPN). "He's very patient. He's one of the best scramblers I've seen this year."

"He's going to be one of the best to ever do it once he's done playing," added Bowles.

Bowles saw Tom Brady up close for a couple of seasons in Tampa Bay, so he knows what being "one of the best to ever do it" looks like on a day to day basis. The fact that Bowles sees greatness in Young, despite a rookie season that left more questions than answers, should be incredibly reassuring to Panthers fans as the franchise goes through yet another transition.
