Carolina Panthers' Derrick Brown had a special 2023 NFL regular season.

And he is continuing to earn respect for it.

Brown was recently named on Pro Football Focus' top-101 players list. He joins a group of players that includes Miami Dolphins star Jaylen Waddle, Sauce Gardner and A.J. Brown.

Brown was ranked No. 36 on PFF's list. Here is what they had to stay:

"Brown was historically disruptive along the defensive line for the Panthers in 2023," Pro Football Focus writes. "He led all interior defenders in defensive stops (53) and solo tackles by PFF’s count (73). His PFF run-defense grade was an elite 90.0, and he missed only five tackles all season."

Brown, during the year, set a new single-season record for tackles by a defensive lineman with 103.

He was named to the Pro Bowl as a result of his production.

It is good to see Brown earning the respect he deserves for his constant production. However, it places the Panthers in a precarious situation, as Brown is prepped for a healthy payday following the conclusion of the 2024 NFL season.
