And for it, the do-everything defender is set to earn a lengthy extension early in the offseason.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano reported that the Panthers are expected to re-sign Luvu sooner rather than later in a recent column.
"The Carolina Panthers are expected to try to re-sign do-it-all linebacker Frankie Luvu," ESPN writes. "Both sides discussed a potential deal last summer and didn't agree, but those talks could heat up around the combine."

Luvu was a player who covered the Panthers' multitude of roster construction sins.
He claimed 12.5 sacks in the last two seasons. In 2023 alone, he had 66 solo tackles and two forced fumbles.
Luvu's return will be a process, but it is one the Panthers are willing to engage in soon. The defense will be better for it.
A to Z Sports projects Luvu's contract to be in the realm of two years and $24 million with a likelihood of his franchise tag being low.
