Laviska Shenault Jr. didn't last long in Charlotte.
After being traded to the Carolina Panthers in August 2022 and playing two seasons for the franchise, Shenault is heading west.
The 25-year-old gadget player is heading to the Seattle Seahawks, as first reported by NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo on Tuesday.
Shenault was supposed to be a wide receiver-running back hybrid player. At least that is how former Panthers head coach Frank Reich saw his role ahead of the 2023 season.
However, that didn't go according to plan.
Shenault was injured throughout the 2023 season. He played in only eight games. In his two years with the Panthers, he claimed 120 yards rushing yards and a touchdown. He also caught 37 passes for 332 yards and a score.
Shenault had no role in the 2024 version of the Panthers. With Reich out the door and the Panthers upgrading at the wide receiver position, his hybrid skills were on the outside looking in.
Before his short stint with the Panthers, he played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team that drafted him, for two seasons.
Now, he is taking his talents to the west coast. Best of luck.
