The Carolina Panthers are matched up with the Atlanta Falcons in a close game in Week 1.

No. 1 overall quarterback Bryce Young threw his first touchdown pass with a little more than five minutes left in the second quarter.

The pass was to Hayden Hurst, the Panthers' newly minted-starting tight end. But instead of handing the ball to Young, Hurst tossed the ball into the stands. Whatever fan caught that ball is sure to earn a ton of money if Young goes on to have a Pro Bowl-caliber career.

The ball is long gone, but it doesn't deter from the fact that Young put together a scoring after throwing an early interception.

Young was 6-for-6 on the first scoring drive. Also on that same possession, Young threw a dart to Jonathan Mingo on third-and-8 to keep the drive alive.
