Injuries strike again for the Carolina Panthers.
This time, linebacker Shaq Thompson went down with around two minutes left to play in the first quarter. The Panthers were leading the game 3-0 at the time. The New Orleans Saints went on to tie the game with a field goal on the same drive. And it looked as though Thompson was rolled up on while getting up after making the tackle.
Thompson was removed from the game by cart. It marks another injury to the Panthers' defense, already without starting cornerback Jaycee Horn.
The entire team came out to show support for Thompson, who is a leader on the Panthers' defense.

The Panthers say Thompson is doubtful to return to the game after the injury. Reports say that Thompson is dealing with an ankle injury. It was previously reported that Thompson was suffering from an injured shin.
