If the injury news couldn't get any worse, it did.

The Carolina Panthers announced Wednesday they have placed guard Brady Christensen on Injury reserve following a bicep injury he sustained late against the Atlanta Falcons.

He will now join Austin Corbett, who tore his ACL, on the sidelines, and the Panthers will be without both starting guards from last season for at least the next few weeks. Brutal.

Christensen played in each of the offense’s 77 snaps in Week 1. He allowed four pressures on quarterback Bryce Young in 42 pass-blocking opportunities.

Frank Reich said the Panthers will work three players at Christensen's guard spot: Cade Mays, Nash Jensen, and Justin McCray.

Heading into Week 2, the Panthers are nursing numerous players on the IR who don't appear to be getting better any time soon.
