The 2023 NFL Season ended with the Kansas City Chiefs being crowned Super Bowl 58 champions, while the 31 other teams had to watch them celebrate.

And now all those teams, including the Carolina Panthers, have their eyes set on next season with the hope that it's them holding up the Lombardi trophy.

Like NFL teams, multiple sportsbooks have already turned their attention to the next Super Bowl, releasing the opening odds for all 32 teams to win Super Bowl XVI.

The Panthers odds to win Super Bowl 59:

According to Draft Kings, the Panthers open up with +25000 odds to win next year's Super Bowl. Below are the teams who were given better odds to win:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+550)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (+650)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+900)
  • Buffalo Bills (+1000)
  • Detroit Lions (+1200)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+1300)
  • Miami Dolphins (+1700)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+2000)
  • Green Bay Packers (+2000)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+2000)
  • Houston Texans (+2200)
  • New York Jets (+2500)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (+2500)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+3000)
  • Chicago Bears (+3000)
  • Los Angeles Rams (+3500)
  • Cleveland Browns (+3500)
  • Atlanta Falcons (+3500)
  • Indianapolis Colts (+4500)
  • Minnesota Vikings (+5500)
  • Seattle Seahawks (+6500)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+7000)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers (+7500)
  • Arizona Cardinals (+8000)
  • New Orleans Saints (+8000)
  • Washington Commanders (+10,000)
  • New York Giants (+10,000)
  • New England Patriots (+10,000)
  • Las Vegas Raiders (+10,000)
  • Denver Broncos (+10,000)
  • Tennessee Titans (+15,000)

If you counted the teams above, you realize that 31 teams are listed, which means the Panthers have the lowest opening odds to win next year's Super Bowl. They are coming off a dreadful 2-15 season, where they finished with the worst record in the NFL. And to add insult to injury, they don't hold the rights to the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft due to their trade with the Bears to acquire the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to select Bryce Young last year.

While it seems warranted, the Panthers now have a new coaching staff and are hoping for a second-year leap by QB Bryce Young. And with them being in arguably the most wide-open division in all of the NFL in the NFC South, I think the Panthers could shock some people, including Draft Kings.
