Terrace Marshall Jr. is expected to miss the next few weeks of action, complicating Frank Reich's plan for the upstart Carolina Panthers offense.

As first reported by The Athletic's Joe Person, Marshall, who suffered an injury at practice, won't be missing just one preseason game. It is believed that he will end up missing a few weeks, calling into question the Panthers' depth at wide receiver moving forward.

“It’s pretty much like I said the other day. Sometimes with these things, you gotta let ’em settle down for two, three, four days,” Reich said when asked about Marshall's injury. “So, that’s what we’re in the process of doing.”

Damiere Byrd was placed on the injury reserve list on Tuesday, and Marshall a non-factor in the coming weeks, Reich is going to get a great opportunity to see what he has at the wide receiver position against the New York Giants.

Also ahead of the Panthers' second preseason game, Andy Dalton, running back Miles Sander, and guard Cade Mays won't play against a Giants team that will make life difficult for the new-look Panthers.

After losing the first preseason game 27-0 against the New York Jets, the Panthers are in the business of putting together a somewhat competitive performance Friday night.
