New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr has another believer. Hall of Fame defensive back and former teammate of the Saints QB Charles Woodson thinks that the Saints are the class of the NFC South this year.
Woodson has chosen the Saints to be his division champion.
He explained why on Fox Sports. Woodson called Carr the best QB in the division, and he is correct.
Woodson even mentioned his own time with Carr and the Raiders. He acknowledged that some of their defenses were not very good.
“Derek Carr has played with some teams with piss-poor defenses … and I know because I was a part of a couple of them.” — Woodson
The Saints defense is much different, and the can be a major difference make for Carr. He can play looser and trust his defense to not give up leads in the second half. He made multiple great points.
That should come as no surprise since Woodson is one of the best defensive backs of this past generation and a bright television NFL mind.
