The Chicago Bears added depth at running back after losing David Montgomery to the Detroit Lions in free agency.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Chicago signed RB Travis Homer to a two-year deal on Tuesday.
Formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, Homer has compiled 83 rushes for 453 yards, adding 52 receptions for 464 yards and three total touchdowns in his four-year career.
Homer was a depth piece at running back, though he played a significant role on special team. Homer even has experience returning kickoffs. He had 18 career kickoff returns for 444 yards (24.7 YPR) and this 44-yard touchdown return on an onside kick in 2022.
Homer’s pass-catching skills out of the backfield and special teams expertise will help him carve out a role in Chicago.
