The Chicago Bears have had the busiest offseason of all 32 teams in the NFL.

The Bears have made major splashes in free agency, inking two stud linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards to solidify the middle of the defense. The team has also patched up a few glaring holes on the offensive line, most notably signing RG Nate Davis to a three-year deal.

The Bears still have plenty of areas to address as the NFL Draft draws nearer. But Pro Football Focus’ pre-draft power rankings have Chicago slowly but surely creeping up the list.

PFF ranks the Bears at No. 26 currently, but with $38 million in cap space and 10 draft picks, the team still has plenty of room to improve.

From PFF: The Bears have made some solid moves in free agency and still have the most salary cap available of any team.

Their defense struggled in 2022, so adding two solid linebackers in Tremaine Edmunds and T.J. Edwards may help fix that. Further, defensive tackles Andrew Billings and DeMarcus Walker are huge upgrades to their defensive line.

They’ve also shored up their offensive line to protect Fields by signing guard Nate Davis.

PFF didn't even mention the Bears trading for star WR D.J. Moore in a blockbuster deal with the Carolina Panthers. Chicago also signed TE Robert Tonyan to give QB Justin Fields another red zone threat.

The rebuild is far from complete, but it’s already clear that GM Ryan Poles has led the Bears to becoming the most-improved team of the offseason. Chicago won’t go from worst to first overnight, but head coach Matt Eberflus should feel good about the core currently in place.
