Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields could be on the verge of making some NFL history that he almost certainly doesn't want to make.

Fields is one of the most electric players in the NFL with the ball in his hands. He's at his best when being able to run is a part of his game — which defenses in turn have to respect.

But when Fields runs for 100 yards, it's not good for the Bears.

According to CBS Sports, Chicago is 0-5 when Fields runs for over 100 yards (he rushed for 104 yards in the Bears' loss to the Detroit Lions this past weekend).

Chicago's 0-5 record when Fields rushes for over 100 yards is tied for the most consecutive team losses in NFL history when a player rushes for 100 or more yards.

Honestly, I'm not sure what Bears fans should make of that stat. It's hard to say that Fields should run less. If it's there, he's gotta take it. But five straight losses is enough to suggest that Fields running a lot isn't a path to victory for the Bears (the loss against the Lions was the first time that Fields has gone over 100 rushing yards in a game this season).

Major changes are likely on the way for the Bears. And it remains to be seen if Fields will be part of Chicago's future plans. This stat, however, could help make the Bears' decision a bit easier. If one of Fields' biggest strengths isn't equating to wins, it's hard to suggest that he should be the long-term answer at quarterback in Chicago.
