The Chicago Bears held the second of three scheduled OTAs for this week on Tuesday.

After the practice, head coach Matt Eberflus spoke with the media and had some positive things to say about his players. The coach was especially complimentary of the rookies, saying that he couldn't pinpoint one impressive guy because "they're (rookies) all doing a really good job."

Eberflus did however name four specific rookies, including one who has already received some positive press.

Earlier in May, rookie corner Tyrique Stevenson received praise from his position coach Jon Hoke. Hoke had the following to say about Stevenson back during rookie minicamp:

"He's done good. He's done a good job of learning the defense, it's been quick for him. He's done a good job of trying to understand the concepts we teach. We kind of knew his skill set and he's proven to have that, really excited about that. His length is big, he showed it today when he was in a position to do some things. Really, really excited about him. really excited about how in two days he's kind of figured out some of the concepts we try to teach and understand those and then just the new techniques we are trying to do."

A couple of weeks later, it seems like Stevenson is still impressing the coaches.

"Tyrique (Stevenson), of course, he's a guy who's really picking up things fast," said Eberflus. "It's good to see him in there. He's big, he's long, and he can certainly play the ball so I like where he's at too."

This is certainly a welcome development for Bears fans. The hope is that the talented rookie will man the outside corner spot opposite Jaylon Johnson. Stevenson is expected to battle against Kindle Vildor, Michael Ojemudia, Terrell Smith, and Jaylon Jones for a starting spot.
