Wildfires are currently devastating Los Angeles County, forcing residents to evacuate.

It has impacted so many people, including Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid who is from Los Angeles and still has friends and family in the area.

On Friday morning, Reid took a moment to address the wildfires.

“Yeah, I’ve had a couple friends that had some problems out there, but our hearts go out to all those people. You know, (our) prayers are with them and hopefully they get these things contained," he told reporters. "They’re all in different areas of the city but those ones along the coast there, those are rough ones. We just pray for everybody’s safety, number one.”

According to CNN, a least 10 people have died and more than 153,000 have been forced to evacuate.

Many teams have voiced their thoughts and prayers for Los Angeles during this difficult time. And the NFL took action, making a generous donation.

The league announced on Friday that they are donating $5 million to help wildfire relief efforts.

"The NFL family is providing $5 million to support communities affected by the wildfires in the greater Los Angeles region. Led by individual contributions from clubs and ownership groups from the Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, and NFL Foundation, these funds will deliver vital resources to local organizations supporting those affected by the wildfires," the NFL said in a statement.

And NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also spoke out.

"We are heartbroken over the devastating losses experienced by so many in the Los Angeles area and inspired by the heroism of first responders and residents who have supported their neighbors. The NFL family is committed to working with the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams to support their local communities in their time of need," Goodell wrote.
