The Kansas City Chiefs offensive line has been everywhere in the news when it comes to the football world. Let me rephrase that: the league has been after right tackle Jawaan Taylor.

His alignment and "false starting" has been an issue. Well, the Chiefs don't think so. Honestly, he has been pretty good but is being called for it non-stop and even being targeted to an extent.

But, overall, the offensive line is still one of the best in the league, if not the best. The negative attention they are getting via the media would make you think otherwise.

They are one of two teams whose offensive line has yet to allow a sack. The other team is the Dallas Cowboys. Of course, from what we have seen, a lot of that also has to do with Patrick Mahomes mobility in and outside of the pocket, but a good portion is also the two new tackles the Chiefs added.

Last game was the lowest pressure rate Mahomes has faced.

"Patrick Mahomes completed 18 of 24 passes from inside the tackle box without pressure for 212 yards & 3 TD (+15.8 EPA). Mahomes has faced the lowest pressure rate (25.4%) of his career this season and thrown the most TD (6) without throwing an INT from clean pockets," according to Next Gen Stats on Twitter.

Jawaan Taylor, Donovan Smith, and Trey Smith have had their fair share of penalties so far. However, the entire offensive line has been stellar regarding their assignment, just blocking for pass pro and run schemes in general.

If the Chiefs keep Mahomes healthy and the run game going, then you can bet Andy Reid will get the penalties under control.
