After falling to 8-7 thanks to a humbling loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals are on the outside looking in at the NFL Playoffs.

Should the Bengals drop one more game, their playoff chances would be reduced to essentially 0%. They'll have to beat two teams with better records to avoid that fate. 

If the playoffs are out of the picture for Cincinnati, they'll find themselves picking inside the top 20 of the NFL Draft for the first time in three years. Below is a look at the current 2024 NFL Draft order after 16 weeks of action.

At 18th overall, the Bengals currently own the lowest spot out of any team not currently in the playoff picture. They may not have tiebreakers over the Steelers and Texans in the playoff race, but their .565 strength of schedule bests every non-playoff team at the moment. That's the tiebreaker that counts in this arena.

There are five teams that would make the playoffs today with an 8-7 record, and they also have lower strength of schedules than the Bengals' current mark. The final two weeks of the regular season can still shake things up, but the Bengals are not going to get any help with this tiebreaker.

It's looking like the Bengals may be able to drop a few spots by losing out, but any hope of a top-10 pick has been evaporated.
