The Cincinnati Bengals are currently locked into first place in the AFC North, but it is not by much.
Tonight, they are going against a fellow first place team, but this one is in the AFC East. That team would be the Buffalo Bills. With a divisional game next week to end the season, the pressure of this game becomes paramount.
Their matchup against the Bills won't become any easier, however, as it was announced they will be without veteran rusher Sam Hubbard.
Hubbard is a local kid who grew up in Cincinnati and he played at Ohio State. Hubbard entered the league in 2018 as a third round draft pick.
The fifth-year player is very important to the Bengals defense. He is a solid run defender and pass rusher, which is proven by the fact that he has registered double digit tackles for loss every season and was on pace for what can be argued as one of if not the best of his career, before this injury.
Unfortunately, Bengals fans will have to wait yet another week to see Hubbard back in action since he is slated to miss this game with a calf injury. Backing up Hubbard is Cam Sample, a veteran from Tulane and rookie Jeffrey Gunter, a seventh round pick from Coastal Carolina.
