Not many NFL offensive linemen are as passionate about ball more than Orlando Brown Jr., but the Cincinnati Bengals' new left tackle isn't short on positive things to say Frank Pollack, his new offensive line coach.

"I mean honestly, it makes you love the game even more," Brown said of putting Pollack's teachings to use on the field. "You know I've got a ton of love for the game already, but you're suiting up for a man like Frank Pollack, you want to give your all for guys like that because you know how much he loves the game, you know how important it is to him and his family.

"And then if anything, it's just it's just more of a driving force and more of an edge as for us as a unit to go out there and perform not only for ourselves, but for him as well."

Brown is not the first to have such outward praise for the Bengals' OL coach of the past three years, and he won't be the last. Since his return to the job in 2021, the team has made great efforts to rebuild the unit from the ground up, and Brown is the crown jewel of the multi-year project.

In signing a four-year, $64 million deal with Cincinnati in March, Brown is the next high-caliber blocker eager to be developed under Pollack's 17-year NFL coaching career.

Brown cited Pollack's history of coaching elite talents such as Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, and a young La'el Collins as examples of his coaching prowess, as well as his passion and experience as a former player.

"He understands how to coach and he understands how difficult it is," Brown explained. "And he gives you a ton of tools to really go out there and use against us against really good talent man, and I can't wait to get out there on Sundays and show it on film."

Much like Pollack, who coached Cincy's offensive line in 2018 before taking the same job with the New York Jets from 2019-20, Brown ended up spending a few years out of the AFC North before finding himself back in the division.

Brown's three years with the Baltimore Ravens has him more than accustomed to the troubles of going against the tremendous pass-rushers of the North.

Seeing how much more Pollack can get out of the four-time Pro Bowler in Brown will be fascinating to observe from training camp through his first season with the Bengals.
