A short week is never ideal for a team dealing with injuries, but the Cincinnati Bengals push forward despite the circumstances.
Trey Hendrickson (knee), Tee Higgins (hamstring), and Sam Hubbard (ankle) are all dealing with injuries as a Thursday night showdown with the Baltimore Ravens approaches. Head coach Zac Taylor classified Hendrickson as "day-to-day," but didn't offer much in regards to the other two Monday afternoon.
"Tough week," Taylor said of Higgins and Hubbard recovering in time. "It'll be short, tough. We'll see."
Hendrickson reportedly suffered a hyperextended knee after the second-to-last play of Sunday's game when Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown fell into his knee. The two-time Pro Bowler only missed the last play when the Texans walked it off with a game-winning field goal.
Higgins and Hubbard, however, missed all of Sunday's action, and their absence was felt throughout. Cincinnati experienced ineptitudes in the passing game and on defense, leaving depth pieces at wide receiver and edge defender to try and compensate. They were weak points that Houston exploited.
The Ravens are just as capable of exploiting those position groups if all three players can't suit up Thursday. When it comes to Higgins, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's considered unlikely for the receiver to play.
There's still some time for things to change, but this week's injury reports figure to feature plenty of notable names on the Bengals' roster.

Cincinnati dodged a bullet, but a great challenge still remains.
