The Monday Night Football contest between the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars brought in a combined 16.44 million viewers watching. It was the most watched Week 13 Monday night game for the NFL since at least 2010.
In comparison to the NBA and their In-Season Tournament held on Monday night, the NFL has the upper hand in what everyone is watching. The Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers game on Monday night brought in just 1.06 million viewers.
NFL is dominating television and they have been for a long time now. We are seeing the salary cap increase at a consistent rate year in and year out as these TV deals get bigger and bigger due to more viewers.
The Week 13 game even featured backup QB Jake Browning starting for the Bengals and that Monday night game was still very good and a much bigger deal than anything the NBA had going on.
If Joe Burrow was playing against the Jaguars, one would think that number would have been even larger for the NFL.
Week 13 was just another example showing that the NFL is the biggest brand of entertainment that you can view.
