Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is always down for a good cause.
From his work establishing the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund, to his recent partnership with Guinness, Burrow is all about helping others.
And when he can combine that with forcing a teammate to get a tattoo, all the better.
Joe Burrow helps Ted Karras get a tattoo for a great cause
Back in December, Ted Karras, the man who snaps the ball to Burrow on game days, promised he'd pay for fans to receive tattoos of The Cincy Hat logo if he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year fan challenge.
Karras won, and he kept his promise Sunday as fans flocked to St. Tatty's Day, an event hosted by Karras in which fans received tattoos commemorating the brand that Karras represents, a brand that helps out adults with disabilities of the Village of Merici near Karras' hometown in Indiana.
But fans weren't the only ones to get tatted up.
Burrow pledged a $25,000 donation to the Village of Merici earlier in the week if Karras got a tattoo himself.
"It was a challenge," Karras told Jay Morrison of Pro Football Network. "So I wanted to call his bluff there and get it going. But he's a man of his word, and so am I. So I'm getting this tattoo."
And sure enough, Karras got the ink on his right leg
Good on Burrow for supporting the cause, and good on Karras for becoming an eveg greater Cincy legend than he already was.
