With all the hype and sensationalism following Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, it's easy to forget that he didn't make the Pro Bowl in 2021.

But, that will obviously change in 2022. As long as everything goes to plan, of course.

NFL.com's Nick Shook believes that to be true, as well. Shook recently wrote a column picking one player from each team to make their first Pro Bowl in 2022.

When it came to the Bengals, the choice was extremely obvious and very clear:

"It's shocking, but it's true: Joe Burrow hasn't yet reached the Pro Bowl. Burrow's stellar 2021 season was good enough to earn him the Comeback Player of the Year award, but not enough for him to beat out Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson for all-star recognition. That's fine. We know what to expect from Burrow after he lit up the league for the sixth-most passing yards in 2021, a 34:14 touchdown-to-interception ratio and 108.3 passer rating. It’s only a matter of time before Burrow gets the nod."

Things would have to go terribly wrong in 2022 for Burrow to miss the Pro Bowl

The Bengals are simply too stacked on both sides of the ball. Yes, like every NFL team, there are some questions. But, overall, this team is built to compete in 2022.

And is there anyone who really doubts that Burrow isn't going to take the next step in 2022? He got better and better as 2021 went on and there's little reason to think that won't carry over into the season.

Especially when considering the vast improvements made along the offensive line. Burrow should be much better now that he doesn't have to worry about potentially dying every other snap.
