Tom Brady and Peyton Manning's rivalry was so influential that football fans want nothing more than for a new quarterback rivalry to take its place.

It really comes down to which QB is good enough to be paired against Patrick Mahomes, and the most common choice is Josh Allen.

Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton would disagree and put Joe Burrow in place of Allen instead.

Hilton played 11 years in the NFL and made four Pro Bowls with the Indianapolis Colts. He just missed the Manning era in Indianapolis, but his answer on who's this generation's version of him relative to the new Brady doesn't play too far away.

In a guest appearance on The Trenches Show hosted by his former teammate Zaire Franklin, Hilton was asked if he felt Mahomes-Allen was indeed this generation's version of Brady-Manning. It was the Bengals' franchise signal-caller he couldn't dismiss from the conversation.

"I don't think you can leave Burrow out of it." Hilton said. "Because when Burrow's healthy, he's gonna be in that AFC Championship game."

Hilton went on to say that after Mahomes, Allen isn't even one of the next two QBs to challenge the defending Super Bowl MVP. It's actually a tie between Burrow and a division rival of his.

"I would say it's a tie at No. 2," Hilton explained. "So No. 1, we all know is Mahomes. Then you got Lamar [Jackson] and Burrow.

"Josh Allen, he don't really scare me though."

That's certainly a take on one of the best in the league. The Bengals may've beaten Allen's Bills the last two times they've met, but Allen is still a formidable foe that has given Mahomes plenty to handle in their own matchups.

Burrow and Jackson are the most recent adversaries Mahomes has had to beat in the AFC title game. Only the former has actually taken down No. 15 in red, certainly a factor that resonates with Hilton.

It was NFL legend Walter Payton who said, “When you're good at something, you'll tell everyone. When you're great at something, they'll tell you.” Hilton is just the latest to give Burrow props under his own volition.
