Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow isn't a fan of the NFL cracking down on taunting. He expressed his distaste for the league's penalization of taunting during this year's AFC Championship game.

As a guest on the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Burrow defended his stance on taunting loud and clear.

“Yeah, I’m pro taunting," Burrow stated. "We’re all grown adults that work really hard at what we do. And sometimes we’d like to show it. I’m not gonna get my feelings hurt if somebody sacks me and taunts me like you made a play. I get it. Like good for you.”

Burrow's original take back in January garnered him much support among not just Bengals fans, but football fans around the league as well.

Do you know any reasonable person who wants players to get flagged for celebrating? I didn't think so.

Burrow is as old-fashioned as they come for quarterbacks. He'll celebrate when he gets the chance to do so, but he has respect for those who get the best out of him.

It's a popular opinion for a reason. NFL players work extremely hard to earn the success they experience on the field. Expressing that elation is naturally going to come at the expense of the opposition, and that's understood by both parties.

Why the league feels that this is a bad thing is beyond me, but the game is the game.

The NFL has made an effort to alienate any and all taunting from the game, but if influential players like Burrow vocally support the act, that may rub some decision makers the wrong way.

It's a good thing Burrow isn't standing alone on this take. Maybe the Shield will soften up a bit.
