Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had his eyes on the end zone Sunday, and now he's laughing to the bank.
By scoring two touchdowns in the first half against the Cleveland Browns, Mixon earned himself a $100,000 bonus for reaching 12 touchdowns on the season.
The incentive was added in Mixon's reworked two-year contract he signed last offseason.
Mixon turned 14 carries and a reception into 117 total yards 12 points on the board against a team he's had plenty of success in his seven-year career. He's now posted over 1,000 yards in 12 career games against the Browns.
It was also Mixon's first 100-yard game of the season, and it got him over 1,000 on the year.
Mixon took a pay cut to stay in Cincinnati this season, so for him to earn some money back for having a dominant performance is a true win-win. The Bengals will have to evaluate whether or not it's smart to keep Mixon under contract for another year, or go in a different direction at the position with other big roster decisions looming.
If this was the last time Mixon played in the Battle of Ohio, he made sure to leave nothing on the field.
