The amount of star power currently on the Cincinnati Bengals' roster is unmatched compared to most of franchise history. Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Joe Mixon have become national and local icons following back-to-back deep postseason runs.

Postseason runs that were also made possible by the placekicker, Evan McPherson.

Go to a Bengals training camp practice and hang around the middle of the action. McPherson gets more fan attention than 95% of the roster, and for good reason. The 24-year old specialist has endeared himself with all levels of the fanbase in his rise to fame as one of the best kickers in the NFL. He continued to show that this week.

There are three practice fields adjacent to Paycor Stadium that the Bengals use for training camp. The two closest fields are were the offense and defense practice against one another. The furtherest field is typically where the specialists hang out with any players rehabbing injuries.

It was this field that McPherson, waiting for the end of practice when he would be called on to make every field goal in team drills, picked a couple of young fans to hold their field goal kicks into a mobile goal post.

This field isn't new to kids spending time with Bengals special teams staples. Long-time long snapper Clark Harris made a habit every year to play catch with the younger generation of fans as he waited around for special teams reps during practice.

Now, it appears McPherson is picking up where Harris left off.

How could would it be to have your favorite team's kicker holding footballs for you to try and kick through the uprights yourself? It's surely a memory those kids won't forget anytime soon.
