NFL free agent tight end Foster Moreau was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Moreau, who took a free agent visit to the Cincinnati Bengals last week, learned of his diagnosis after taking a physical with the New Orleans Saints on another free agent visit. Moreau posted the news on his Twitter.

Moreau was originally a fourth-round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019, when the team was still based on Oakland. He was a reserve player for the first two years of his career before transitioning to a starter in 2021. He racked up 373 yards and three touchdowns on 30 receptions that season as TE2 to Darren Waller.

In 2022, Moreau was counted on more due to Waller’s injury absence. He achieved career highs in snaps (745) ,yards (420), and receptions (33) while averaging 12.7 yards per reception in 14 starts.

Moreau made a ton of sense for the Bengals and their need at tight end. All of that seems inconsequential to what matters now. What's important is Moreau winning his fight against cancer.

Cincinnati still figures to add to the tight end room next month, and will likely sign a veteran shortly.
