Bengals vs. Patriots Wednesday Injury Report

Quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist) should be expected to appear on this list for the foreseeable future as he continues to manage his throwing wrist. He's been a full participant in practices all offseason, but the team is required to list any and all injuries that players get treated for in any capacity. Burrow confirmed after practice that he's in great shape to start the season.
"I feel great," Burrow told reporters. "This is the best I've felt going into Week 1 since my rookie season."
Burrow was able to work with top pass-catcher and long-time teammate Ja'Marr Chase (rest) after the three-time Pro Bowl made a surprising return to practice. Chase has only practiced twice since the start of training camp, and both sessions were closed to the media.
Chase is listed as limited, which could mean the the team either held him out of a full practice, or he declined to work for part of it. Media members were only able to see 30 minutes of practice, and Chase was a participant for that entire period. Burrow seemed confident in Chase's ability to play Sunday despite limited practice time.
"He's ready to go," Burrow said.
That's all fine and dandy, but until Chase puts together a full practice, his status for Sunday will likely be kept secret.
Rookies Amarius Mims (pectoral) and Kris Jenkins Jr. (thumb) were also limited. Mims had missed the previous three weeks of practice after straining his pectoral during the preseason opener. Head coach Zac Taylor announced that Trent Brown will start at right tackle, so Mims will either be an active backup, or inactive for Sunday.
The Patriots' lone player to not practice Wednesday is a starter. Sidy Sow, the starting left guard for New England, was a non-participant with an ankle injury.
Bengals’ Week 1 depth chart requires a little bit of nuance at the tight end position
Two very different players will have very different roles, regardless of their starting status.
