The Cincinnati Bengals' stadium was renamed from Paul Brown Stadium to Paycor Stadium just before the start of the 2022 season.

Paycor doesn't have quite the same ring to it as Paul Brown Stadium. But there are bills that have to be paid.

And one of those upcoming bills is the contract extension that quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to receive this offseason.

Selling the naming rights to the stadium will help pay for that extension. And as a result, Paycor Stadium is being called "Pay Joe Stadium".

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport referenced the nickname on Sunday while giving an update on the Bengals' plans for Burrow this offseason.

"My understanding is the Cincinnati Bengals and Burrow's agent, Bryan Ayrault, are going to get together this offseason and attempt to negotiate a big-time blockbuster contract extension for Burrow that no doubt will make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL," said Rapoport. "It might even make him the highest paid. It's going to be expensive."

"The Bengals are ready," added Rapoport. "They've done a bunch of things over the past year or so to give them an influx of cash, including selling naming rights to their stadium. That stadium? Paycor Stadium. But of course, you know what fans call it — Pay Joe Stadium."

It'll be interesting to see if Burrow breaks any records with his contract. He deserves to be the highest-paid quarterback in the league, but it wouldn't be a shock if he takes a little less to give the Bengals some salary cap flexibility.
