Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman La'el Collins didn't hold back while discussing New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Cam Jordan on Thursday.
Jordan, a seven-time Pro Bowler, was held to three tackles and 0 sacks in the Bengals' win against the Saints this past weekend.
On Thursday, Collins was asked about facing Jordan.
And Collins got candid.
"I think it was a tougher matchup for him versus me," said Collins of facing Jordan. "If you watch the tape, every time I played him, I beat his ass up. That's just the bottom line. It's going to be like that any time I play him."
Collins earned the right to talk some trash to Jordan.
I'm sure these two will again at some point, though. And when that happens, I have no doubt that Jordan will play with some extra motivation. Collins, however, knows that. And he's confident enough in his abilities that he's not concerned whether or not Jordan has extra motivation.
I'd say that maybe Cincinnati and New Orleans will see each other in the Super Bowl. But the Saints are 2-4 and unlikely to make the playoffs.
