As a whole, the Cincinnati Bengals didn't get off to a good start against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.

But in terms of personal accomplishments, kicker Evan McPherson got off to just about as good a start as anyone playing his position can.

That's because McPherson set a new Bengals kicking record on Sunday when he made a 59-yard field goal to cut the Steelers' 7-0 lead to 7-3. It was McPherson's first attempt of the day -and of the season- and he made it look easy, as usual.

McPherson broke his own record of 58-yards, which he set against the Denver Broncos in Week 15 of the 2021 season.
