Bengals will need to prove oddsmakers wrong exactly like they did last time against Steelers
Cincinnati will go on the road as underdogs.
It’s back to the grind for the Cincinnati Bengals following their bye week, and they’ll be on the road this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cincinnati last saw the Steelers nearly a month ago in Paycor Stadium and squeaked out a 33-31 victory, which is also the Bengals’ most recent win. A win this coming Sunday would give Cincy its first sweep over Pittsburgh since 2021.
As oddsmakers look toward NFL Week 11, the Bengals will have to pull off an upset for a sweep to occur.
Bengals open as underdogs against Steelers
The Bengals open as 5.5-point underdogs to the Steelers this week. It’s the same spread from the first matchup between these teams back in Week 7.
This will be the seventh time this season Cincinnati enters a game as an underdog. The Bengals were 2.5-point home underdogs in their most recent game in Week 9, which ended up being a five-point loss to the Chicago Bears. They were 6.5-point favorites the week prior against the New York Jets and also straight up loss that game as well.
Confidence in the Bengals is pretty damn low at this point. Joe Flacco has proven, even with an AC joint sprain, he can sling it to Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but the defense is the worst in the league and even has Jon Gruden making jokes at their expense.
Cincinnati has already dealt with a losing streak this season after dropping four in a row following Joe Burrow’s turf toe injury. Another loss this week would make it three-straight. The Steelers are coming off a tough loss on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers, their third loss in four weeks. The books expect Pittsburgh to get back on track immediately, and for the Bengals’ woes to continue for at least another week.
Bengals’ 2025 record against the spread
- 3-6 against the spread
- 2-1 straight up as the favorite
- 1-5 straight up as the underdog
