The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns continue practicing for their Week 18 season finale this Sunday.

Let’s take a look at Thursday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Browns.

Observations

  • Chase Brown (illness), who’s 53 yards shy of 1,000 on the ground this season, did not practice for a second straight day. Brown could be getting rest days to recover from whichever illness he’s suffering from, but if he does not practice at all Friday, it may be a long shot for him to play Sunday.
  • Joseph Ossai (ankle) has still yet to practice since Week 15. He’s missed the last two games and is in real danger of missing what could be his last game with the Bengals. Ossai has played 14 games and made nine starts. His five sacks on the year match his total from 2024, and he’s one sack shy of triggering a $250,000 incentive in his one-year contract.
  • Josh Newton (hamstring) has also been out for the past two days. He popped up on last Friday’s injury report and was inactive for Cincinnati’s Week 17 win over the Arizona Cardinals. He’s on track to missing Week 18 as well.
  • B.J. Hill (ankle) is still being managed with his ankle injury. He’s hardly practiced in recent weeks but has played nonetheless.

Observations

  • Myles Garrett (hip), just one sack away from setting the NFL single-season record, was limited in Thursday’s practice. Garrett has dealt with hip injuries in the past and played through them, so his status for Friday will be the important update to watch. Garrett has sacked Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow 11.5 times in his career. No other player has sacked Burrow more than 5.5. times.
