The Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals had their Christmas practices Thursday leading up to their Week 17 matchup.

Let’s take a look at Thursday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Cardinals.

Observations

  • There are no changes to Cincinnati’s injury report from Wednesday. Joseph Ossai (ankle), who’s logged the second-most snaps among Bengals defensive linemen, remains out with his ankle injury he suffered back in Week 15. Cam Sample got the start for Ossai last week, and it would be Sample or Shemar Stewart getting the start opposite of Myles Murphy if Ossai’s injury keep him out again.
  • Noah Fant (ankle), who missed last week’s game, is still being eased back from his injury. A full practice Friday would indicate he’s ready to return.
  • B.J. Hill (ankle) also remains out with his ankle injury. He was a DNP for the first two practices last week and managed to play, so the door is still open for him to suit up Sunday. McKinnley Jackson would be the first off the bench if Hill can’t play or needs in-game rest.
  • Matt Lee (knee) was limited once again in his second practice back since being cleared.

Observations (From Wednesday’s report)

  • A lot of big names listed here, notably Budda Baker (concussion/thumb), Paris Johnson (knee), and Josh Sweat (ankle/knee), who were all DNPs for Wednesday’s walkthrough. Baker has yet to miss a game this season but is in the concussion protocol. Johnson hasn’t played since Week 14. Sweat left Arizona’s Week 16 game after only playing seven snaps.
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) was limited along with cornerbacks Will Johnson (thumb/chest) and Max Melton (heel).
