The Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins continue their preparations for Week 16’s matchup in Miami, and the list of injuries for both teams isn’t getting any shorter.

Let’s take a look at Thursday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Dolphins.

Observations

  • Rookie Shemar Stewart (knee) told reporters after his second full practice of the week that he will play Sunday in Miami. Stewart, Cincinnati’s first-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, has been out for the last five games on the Reserve/Injured list. He was cleared to practice last week, and all signs are pointing to him being activated off I.R. before kickoff.
  • Noah Fant (ankle) and Drew Sample (neck) each practiced more than they did Wednesday, which bodes well for the offense having a full tight end room available. Fant may need to be a full participant Friday to avoid being questionable for Sunday.
  • Tee Higgins (concussion) remains limited in the concussion protocol, which is not positive news in terms of him playing this weekend. Higgins has been out since he reported concussion symptoms following Week 14’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. It would seem unlikely for him to play before getting a full practice in.
  • B.J. Hill, Kris Jenkins Jr., and Charlie Jones all remain out with ankle injuries. Hill and Jenkins play more snaps than any other defensive tackles on the roster next to starter T.J. Slaton Jr., so McKinnley Jackson and Jordan Jefferson are likely to be called upon barring any changes here.

Observations

  • Elijah Campbell (ankle/knee), going from a non-participant to a limited participant, is the only change for the Dolphins’ injury report from Wednesday to Thursday.
  • Jordyn Brooks (foot/knee) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf) remain out for Miami. Fitzpatrick is considered week-to-week with his injury, but Brooks is also likely to miss Sunday unless he returns Friday.
