The Cincinnati Bengals have been granted approval by the NFL to wear their alternate White Bengal helmet with their primary white jersey.

FanDuel's Kay Adams was a part of the team announcing the news in a creative riddle-based video.

If you're confused, not to worry. The Bengals debuted their White Bengal helmet during the 2022 and wore them two times. NFL rules mandated that they must be worn with an alternate jersey that's deemed to be an alternate, aka not the primary home or away jersey.

This forced the Bengals to bring back their Color Rush jersey they debuted all the way back in 2016. Since that jersey was outdated in terms of the striping pattern among other details, many fans wanted the team to be able to wear their primary white jerseys with the white helmets to create a cleaner look.

On Monday, the Bengals posted on their Instagram story that they requested permission from the NFL to wear their alternate helmets with their primary jersey to wear as one of their alternate uniform combinations that can be worn a select amount of games per season. The Bengals will wear this uniform in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

The New White Bengal Look

So what will this look like? The talented Pro Football Focus graphics designer Seth Reese created the original mock up last year and they're absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, that looks like the best uniform in the NFL. The consistency of the black striping on a white background looks significantly better than the previous iteration.

With the Bengals now going away from their original Color Rush jerseys, the team can now implement an alternate jersey to replace it. This could end up being a throwback variant, but that hasn't been confirmed in the slightest.

All that's been confirmed is this uniform combination will debut next month when the Bengals induct Chad Johnson and Boomer Esiaison into the Ring of Honor and host the Rams for a primetime matchup.
