En route to making a second straight AFC Championship game, the Cincinnati Bengals soundly defeated the Buffalo Bills, 27-10, on a snowy afternoon in Orchard Park, NY. The environment clearly impacted one side more than the other.

Long after the game and postseason concluded, ex-Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie made headlines claiming "it would have been a totally different game" if the game was played indoors, shielding out the weather.

Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd did not forget these words, and gave a blunt statement following Thursday's practice leading up to the rematch between both teams.

“When we won the playoff game a couple of their players said if it wasn’t snowing they would’ve won. We here now.”

Boyd was adamant immediately following McKenzie's words back in May, offering a quick retort via Twitter: "We just different lil man." Fellow Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase also got in on the action.

McKenzie, of course, no longer plays for the Bills, but Boyd is aware of other Bills players still with the team that shared McKenzie's sentiment. There’s reason to believe Buffalo's offense would've performed better in more normalized conditions, but the optics of a team playing at home where it snows quite frequently and sharing these thoughts remains humorous.

The current forecast for Sunday night in Cincinnati is low-50s and with some temporary cloud cover. Any snow would be an early November miracle, or anomaly depending on what you would desire.

Is it wise for Boyd to be toking the flame like this when the Bills will be out to avenge their most recent playoff misfortune? Probably not, but both sides are primed to be fired up for it.
