Undrafted rookie wide receiver Shedrick Jackson has had a productive preseason for the Cincinnati Bengals, and now has a highlight reel moment to show for it.
Jackson had two receptions for 22 yards entering the fourth quarter of the preseason finale vs. the Washington Commanders. He added 34 yards and his first-ever touchdown late in the final period on a slot fade that caught the Commanders' secondary completely off guard.
Jackson, nephew of the legendary Bo Jackson, is one of the fastest players on the Bengals' roster, and this play is just another example of how valuable that is. Even if the defensive back read the route properly, Jackson had plenty of burst in the tank to stack him.
It's one of the easiest touchdowns you'll ever see in an NFL game, preseason or not, but it's a fun highlight all the same for a player just hoping to make the practice squad.
Jackson had six receptions and 56 yards in preseason action entering tonight. He'll finish the month with over 100 yards and a touchdown he'll never forget. It would be shocking if the Bengals didn't try to bring him back in the building via the practice squad. He might just get attention from the 31 other clubs now.
Bengals: 5 players that are likely to make the practice squad
Not every player can make it through cuts, but every player has a chance to stick around on the practice squad. These five Bengals have the best chances.
