The Cincinnati Bengals have begun practicing for their upcoming road game against the Green Bay Packers, and there’s more stories to watch than just Joe Flacco’s arrival and debut.

Let’s take a look at where things stand on the Wednesday’s injury report:

Observations

  • Any time Ja’Marr Chase is on the injury report the red flags are raised, but Chase is just getting managed with a Thursday night game coming up in a week’s time, as said by head coach Zac Taylor prior to Wednesday’s practice.
  • Left guard Dylan Fairchild (knee) was concerned about missing practice at the beginning of the week and he was a DNP Wednesday. Right Guard Lucas Patrick (calf) went limited in his first practice since being designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list, so if Fairchild can’t play this week, there’s hope for Patrick to potentially replace him, or provide needed depth at the guard position. Patrick still needs to be activated to the 53-man roster.
  • Defensive end Shemar Stewart (ankle) practiced for the first time since Week 2. He only participated in individual drills in his first day back.

Observations

  • Quite the laundry list of injuries, but only offensive tackle Anthony Belton (ankle) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (knee) did not practice for Green Bay.
  • Wide receiver Christian Watson (knee) is not yet on the Packers’ 53-man roster, but he is practicing after he was designated to return from I.R.
