The Cincinnati Bengals began practicing for their Week 15 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Joe Burrow’s 29th birthday. Burrow was a full participant on his birthday, obviously, but not all of his teammates can say the same.

Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s injury reports for both the Bengals and Ravens.

Observations

  • Trey Hendrickson (hip/pelvis) is still technically on the Bengals’ active roster despite having core muscle surgery earlier in the week. He’ll be placed on the Reserve/Injured list in the coming days and will no longer appear on the injury report.
  • Replacing Hendrickson on the roster could very well be Shemar Stewart (knee). Stewart was cleared to practice Wednesday after missing the last four games on I.R. He’s on track to being activated later this week.
  • Tee Higgins (concussion) went limited as he works through the concussion protocol for the second time in two weeks. He reported concussion symptoms following Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, which happened just days after he passed through the protocol for the first time. He suffered a concussion in Week 12 against the New England Patriots and missed Week 13 because of it.
  • PJ Jules (ankle) was the only real non-participant in practice as he’s “week-to-week” with his injury according to head coach Zac Taylor. Jules was injured during the loss in Buffalo.

Ravens Wednesday injury report

PlayerInjuryW/T/FDesignation
CB Chidobe AwuzieShoulderDNP
QB Lamar JacksonNIR — RestDNP
RB Keaton MitchellKneeLimited
OLB Tavius RobinsonFootLimited

CB Nate WigginsFootLimited

Observations

  • Lamar Jackson (rest) has missed several practices in recent weeks but this is the first time he’s been listed as missing a Wednesday practice for rest. Jackson has managed to play the last six games despite minimal practice time since coming back from a hamstring injury. The expectation is he’ll play Sunday
  • Chidobe Awuzie (shoulder), who played for Cincinnati from 2021-23, was the only other Raven to miss practice entirely. Awuzie has started five games for Baltimore this season.
  • Keaton Mitchell (knee) was one of three Ravens who were limited Wednesday. Mitchell suffered his injury in the third quarter of Baltimore’s Week 14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and did not return for the rest of the game.
