It was just a week ago when the Cincinnati Bengals had full practice participation and Joe Burrow was healthy. That’s life in the NFL for you.

The Bengals released their longest injury report of the young season Wednesday. Okay, that’s a bit dramatic considering it’s only four-names long, but facts are facts. Let’s take a look at the injuries Cincinnati is dealing with entering a Week 3 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Observations

  • With Joe Burrow (toe) officially on the Reserve/Injured list, Stewart (ankle) was the only player on the active roster who did not practice. Stewart played 29 snaps last Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars before suffering his injury and was labeled as “doubtful” to play this week by head coach Zac Taylor, so don’t expect him to practice much or at all Thursday or Friday.
  • Taylor-Britt (hamstring) left practice early according to SI’s Jay Morrison, so his injury occurred during Wednesday’s practice. There was no report if Wilson (ankle) left early or not.
  • Fairchild (shoulder) hasn’t missed a snap yet in his young NFL career and while he was a full participant Wednesday, being listed on the injury report at all means he did have some treatment.
  • Right tackle Amarius Mims was limited last week with an ankle injury and missed six snaps in Week 2. It’s a positive to see him not listed on the injury report at all.

Observations

  • Darrisaw (knee) has yet to make his debut this season and while he went full Wednesday, he also went full last Wednesday and didn’t play. We’ll have to wait until the end of the week for a better idea about his game status.
  • McCarthy (ankle) has already been declared out, and backup Carson Wentz is preparing to start in his place.
  • Kelly (concussion), a West Chester, OH native, suffered his concussion last week and is unlikely to practice this week.
