A statement game for the Cincinnati Bengals is just over an hour from kicking off. Let's see who will NOT suit up in today's game against the Baltimore Ravens
Here are the Bengals' Week 5 inactives
- CB Mike Hilton
- TE Tanner Hudson
- WR Trenton Irwin
- ED Cedric Johnson
- TE Tanner McLachlan
- DT Sheldon Rankins
As expected, Rankins (hamstring) will miss his third straight game. He was officially doubtful entering the weekend.
B.J. Hill and rookie McKinnley Jackson are officially active and will help offset the absence of Rankins. This will be Jackson's NFL debut, and he figures to see the field in a new-look DT group now without the recently waived Zach Carter.
How Bengals will play without Mike Hilton
Mike Hilton (knee) is officially inactive, which means the Bengals' defense will have some new faces in the slot.
The team elevated Jalen Davis from the practice squad Saturday, indicating that he'll have a role to play in Hilton's absence. DJ Turner II and rookie Josh Newton may also get some playing time in the slot.
Hudson, Irwin, and Johnson are all healthy scratches this week. Rookies Erick All Jr. and Jermaine Burton have established trust over the likes of Hudson and Irwin at their respective positions. Johnson had been active for most of this season, but will now watch in street clothes as Myles Murphy makes his season debut off the edge.
