NFL.com thinks the Cincinnati Bengals will have one of the best offenses in the NFL in 2022.
Cynthia Frelund ranked the top 11 offenses in the NFL for the upcoming season and she has the Bengals at No. 3, behind the Buffalo Bills at No. 1 and the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 2.
In 2021, Burrow's completion percentage over expected was +6.0 — the highest in the NFL, per NGS. He also led the league in completion percentage (64.3) and yards per attempt (9.7) when under pressure. Clearly, he wasn't playing skittish. When he had time to throw of 2.5-plus seconds, Burrow posted an NFL-best 111.6 passer rating. Computer Vision shows Burrow was the most efficient on off-platform throws (when his legs weren't set before releasing the ball) with a 100.1 passer rating.

A year ago, the Bengals had the No. 7 scoring offense in the NFL, despite leaning on a rookie in Ja'Marr Chase as their top wide receiver and dealing with a porous offensive line that gave up 70 total sacks (including the playoffs).
Now that Chase has another year of experience and the offensive line has been significantly upgraded, it's certainly plausible that Cincinnati could have the best offense in the NFL.
Quarterback Joe Burrow was an extremely dangerous player last season even though he often dealt with protection breakdowns. The Bengals' improved offensive line should lead to us seeing the best version of Burrow in 2022.
The strange thing about Frelund's ranking of Cincinnati's offense is that it comes just weeks after she predicted that the Bengals will miss the playoffs in 2022.
It's hard to imagine the Bengals finishing with a top-five offense in 2022 and missing the playoffs.
In fact, I feel confident in saying that if Cincinnati finishes with the No. 3 offense in the league this upcoming season, they'll be one of the top two seeds in the AFC.
