Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has spent most of his life in Ohio, but he still has plenty of fans in Louisiana thanks to his incredible two-year run at LSU.
Burrow's 2019 season is possibly the greatest season we'll ever see from a collegiate quarterback.
In 2019, Burrow led the Tigers to a 15-0 record and a win in the College Football Playoff championship game while passing for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns (with only six interceptions).
It's understandable why fans in Baton Rouge still have a lot of love for Burrow.
So much love, in fact, that there was a Burrow-inspired float featuring a six-year-old Burrow lookalike at a Mardi Gras parade this week.
Check it out:
Burrow is a king in Cincinnati and Baton Rouge. And for good reason — he could be the closest thing we've seen to Tom Brady.
I know, I know. I'm jumping the gun on the Brady comparisons. But I truly believe Burrow has the same ultra-competitive traits that Brady possessed.
The Bengals had no business being in the Super Bowl this season. Burrow practically willed it to happen. If Cincinnati gives Burrow some more protection, the sky will be the limit for the former LSU star.
