Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared to fire back at a recent comment made by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow on Sunday night after KC's win in the AFC Championship game.
During the Bengals' win against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs, Burrow was caught on a hot mic saying "I'm him" as he ran off the field.
Burrow later confessed that he didn't even remember uttering those words, telling reporters "sometimes you blackout out there".
Mahomes took to Twitter after the Chiefs' win against the Bengals on Sunday night and sent a tweet seemingly in response to that moment.
Here's the tweet.
That GIF is of bowler Pete Weber and his famous "who do you think you are, I am" line from 2012.
I don't know for sure that Mahomes was directing that tweet toward Burrow, but it certainly feels like he was — especially after all the trash talk that was shared between the two teams this week.
This is going to be a fun rivalry for years to come.
