The Baltimore Ravens are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football on NBC this week.
Based on what happened last year, I don't think the Ravens will be taking the Bengals lightly.
Cincinnati swept the season series from Baltimore last season. And neither game was particularly close.
The Bengals won the first matchup in Baltimore 41-17. Cincy won the second matchup — the 2021 season's penultimate game — 41-21 behind 525 passing yards from Joe Burrow.
In total, Burrow passed for 941 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception last season against the Ravens.

On Wednesday, Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey was asked what makes Burrow different from other quarterbacks in the NFL.
And Humphrey pointed out something that makes perfect sense. Something that many folks, including myself, probably haven't considered.
Humphrey suggested that it's Burrow's belief in his teammates that makes him such a dangerous quarterback.
That comment from Humphrey may not seem like a big deal, but it shows exactly why the Bengals, despite their 2-2 record, are one of the best teams in the NFL.
This team believes in each other. And that belief in each other, the confidence that Cincy's players have that each teammate is going to do their job, makes the Bengals an extremely dangerous team to play, regardless of the score.
Cincinnati has something special. Their Super Bowl window is wide open. And I expect they'll be a major factor in determining who wins the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.
