Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins underwent surgery on his left shoulder this offseason to repair his labrum according to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Higgins was spotted at the Cincinnati Reds game on Tuesday with his left arm in a sling.
The former Clemson standout is expected to be ready "well before" training camp later this summer.
Higgins was the Bengals' second-leading wide receiver last season with 74 receptions for 1,091 yards and six touchdowns (Ja'Marr Chase led the team in receiving with 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns).
The Tennessee native was selected by the Bengals in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft (just months after Higgins played against Chase and Joe Burrow in the College Football Playoff Championship Game, which was won by LSU).
Higgins and Chase, along with Tyler Boyd, are possibly the best wide receiver trio in the NFL. Cincinnati will definitely need Higgins to be at 100 percent this fall if they want to make another deep playoff run.
Fortunately for the Bengals, it sounds like Higgins should be fully recovered in plenty of time for the regular season.
