NFL Network's Rich Eisen likely made some Green Bay Packers fans unhappy this week with his comments about Aaron Rodgers and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
Eisen was asked last week which quarterback — Burrow or Rodgers — is more likely to play in the Super Bowl this season.
And Eisen went with Burrow.
"I'll go with the guy who made it last year, I'll go Joe Burrow," said Eisen. "Did Ja'Marr Chase go to the [Las] Vegas Raiders? Did the Packers hit their one glaring weakness in free agency over and over again?"
"I didn't stutter — the Bengals in back-to-back Super Bowls [is] not very likely. More likely to make the Super Bowl this year? I will take the Cincinnati Bengals over the Green Bay Packers. How about that?"
Eisen added that he'll probably take the Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl when it's all said and done.
This is going to be a tough year to predict. There are numerous teams in each conference that have a legitimate shot to reach the Super Bowl. Green Bay is certainly one of those teams, though you have to wonder how much the absence of Davante Adams will hurt the Packers' offense.
Cincinnati has some of the best skill position players in the league in Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Mixon, and Tee Higgins. Add in Burrow, and it's easy to see why Eisen is more confident in the Bengals than the Packers.
